Tesla Begins Beta Release of FSD v12 to Non-Employee Testers

Tesla has begun releasing its Full Self-Driving (FSD) v12 software to a small group of non-employee testers, contrary to CEO Elon Musk's previous statement that the version would not be in beta.
The FSD v12 software is expected to feature 'end-to-end neural nets', relying primarily on AI and cameras instead of a mix of sensors and cameras.
The release comes nearly two months after the software was first rolled out to employees for testing.
Despite the name, the Full Self-Driving software is not fully autonomous and still requires active driver supervision.
Tesla's stock has seen a decline for five consecutive weeks, with fourth-quarter earnings due to be reported soon.
