Tesla Activates First Supercharging Station in Mumbai, Readies Delhi Experience Centre

Overview

  • On August 4, Tesla unveiled its first Indian charging hub at One BKC in Mumbai, featuring four 250 kW V4 superchargers priced at ₹24 per kWh and four 11 kW AC destination chargers at ₹14 per kWh.
  • The company plans to bring three additional charging facilities online in Lower Parel, Thane and Navi Mumbai by the end of the September quarter.
  • Tesla will open its second Experience Centre in New Delhi’s Aerocity on August 11, extending its retail-led market entry before local manufacturing.
  • Model Y SUVs are being imported as completely built units from Shanghai and offered in rear-wheel-drive and long-range variants priced at ₹59.89 lakh and ₹67.89 lakh, with deliveries slated for Q3 and Q4 2025.
