Overview
- Tesco, which announced the change on Tuesday, said priority customers can book from July 14 and general bookings open on July 21.
- The retailer has doubled its usual four-week window to give customers an eight-week view of Home Delivery and Click+Collect slots for the summer season.
- Selected stores will waive same-day Home Delivery and Click+Collect surcharges until September 6 and Tesco says it has increased same-day availability versus last year.
- Tesco will boost Click+Collect capacity at stores near popular holiday destinations, continue Whoosh rapid delivery in selected areas and promote Delivery Saver plans starting from £2.49 a month.
- The move follows common supermarket tactics for busy holiday periods and is meant to help people lock in convenient slots, change next-day orders until 11.45pm, and reduce last-minute stress for families and holidaymakers.
