Overview

• After nearly two years with only five magistrates, the Sala Superior was formally installed with seven members during a solemn session in Mexico City.
• Gilberto de Guzmán Bátiz García, set to preside from November 1, and Claudia Valle Aguilasocho joined the bench after their election in the country’s first judicial vote.
• Fifteen magistrates for the regional chambers in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Mexico City and Toluca received their credentials at the ceremony.
• TEPJF president Mónica Soto Fregoso vowed decisions that remain independent, impartial, inclusive and transparent, urging maximum efficacy with serenity and responsibility.
