Overview

  • Across all 50 states, more than 1,600 sites are hosting 'Good Trouble Lives On' demonstrations today, with Chicago serving as the flagship rally venue.
  • Coalition partners include the Transformative Justice Coalition, Black Voters Matter, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the League of Women Voters, the Declaration for American Democracy Coalition and Mi Familia en Acción.
  • Protesters are denouncing what they call the Trump administration’s most aggressive civil rights rollbacks in decades by targeting voting restrictions, immigrant deportations and cuts to Medicaid and other safety nets.
  • Community-based events such as food drives, teach-ins, voter registration booths and sign-making stations are running alongside street marches and rallies.
  • Organizers have imposed strict nonviolent guidelines, urging participants to de-escalate tensions and refrain from carrying any weapons.
