  • Declared Republican candidates include state Reps. Jody Barrett and Lee Reeves, former services commissioner Matt Van Epps (endorsed by Green), Montgomery County Commissioner Jason Knight, health care executive Mason Foley and businessman Stewart Parks.
  • Democratic contenders feature state Reps. Bo Mitchell, Aftyn Behn and Vincent Dixie, Davidson County assistant district attorney David Jones, political consultant Darden Copeland and an independent bid by Army veteran Jonathan Thorp.
