Freshman Nico Iamaleava to Make First Career Start in Citrus Bowl

Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton has opted out of the Citrus Bowl to prepare for the 2024 NFL draft.
Freshman Nico Iamaleava will make his first career start for No. 25 Tennessee in the Citrus Bowl on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.
Milton had a solid season, throwing for 2,813 yards with 20 touchdowns and five interceptions while running for seven TDs.
Iamaleava was the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and has been praised for his arm strength and feel inside the pocket.
Tennessee fans have been eager to see Iamaleava in meaningful action ever since he announced he was signing with the Vols.
