- Lake Tansi Police found Linda Spivey deceased at the residence, prompting a joint investigation with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the TBI, and the 13th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office.
- TBI agents obtained a warrant charging her son, 59-year-old Kenneth Spivey of Crossville, with first-degree murder.
- Kenneth Spivey was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Cumberland County Jail, where he is held on a $1,000,000 bond.
- The victim’s remains are being sent to the Nashville Medical Examiner for an autopsy, and evidence will be processed by the TBI crime lab as the case develops.
