Tennessee District Attorney Indicted for Reckless Gunfire During Fugitive Pursuit

Stanford fired multiple shots during a police chase, with one bullet striking a home occupied by a mother and her three children, though no injuries occurred.
Authorities allege Stanford fired his weapon without using its sights and faced no immediate threat when discharging the firearm.
The chase involved fugitive Caleb Brookins, wanted for a triple homicide, and accomplice Hannah Rose, who injured a Homeland Security officer with her vehicle during the pursuit.
Stanford surrendered to authorities, posted a $10,000 bond, and is set to appear in court on January 7, 2025.
