Overview
- The two-week immersion brought a cohort of ten recent engineering graduates to Texas for intensive exposure to leading innovation and operations.
- Site visits included Axiom Space, Amazon, bp, Honeywell and Tenaris, with a focus on new work models, digital transformation and automation.
- The group toured Rice University and the University of Texas at Austin, and joined networking events organized by IAPG Houston with support from the Argentine Consulate in Houston.
- At Space Center Houston, participants met biomedical engineer María Noel de Castro Campos, who is reported to be preparing for a prospective mission to the International Space Station.
- The initiative is jointly sponsored by CGC, Honeywell, Pan American Energy, Techint Ingeniería y Construcción, Tecpetrol and Tenaris as the second phase of the Argentina Internship Program launched in 2015, which has received over 3,000 applications and hosted about 100 international interns.
