Overview

  • The Television Academy announced the full list of nominees, which were released Wednesday, July 8, 2026, and have been posted by outlets including G1 and O Globo.
  • HBO’s medical drama The Pitt led drama entries with 25 nominations while the comedy Hacks scored a record 24 nods for a single comedy season.
  • Major acting contenders include Carrie Coon, Keri Russell, Rhea Seehorn and Zendaya for drama lead actress, and Quinta Brunson, Ayo Edebiri, Elle Fanning, Lisa Kudrow and Jean Smart for comedy lead actress.
  • The awards ceremony is scheduled for September 14 in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay, a choice that breaks recent practice of using stand-up comedians or late-night hosts.
