Telemundo Reporter Found Dead in Hotel Room; Woman Arrested for Credit Card Theft

Adan Manzano, a rising sports journalist covering the Super Bowl, was discovered deceased, with a suspect linked to prior fraud schemes now in custody.

Adan Manzano, a 27-year-old sports reporter for Telemundo Kansas City, was found dead in his hotel room in Kenner, Louisiana, on Wednesday while covering the Super Bowl.
Danette Colbert, a 48-year-old Louisiana resident with a history of fraud and theft, was arrested after being captured on surveillance footage entering and leaving Manzano's hotel room.
Authorities discovered Manzano’s credit card and phone at Colbert’s home, along with narcotics and a stolen firearm, though the firearm is not believed to be connected to the case.
The cause of Manzano’s death remains undetermined pending toxicology and autopsy results, which are expected to take several weeks.
Manzano, remembered as a talented and passionate journalist, leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter following the tragic loss of his wife in a car accident last year.
