The facility delivers round-the-clock security services using locally trained staff backed by specialists in Colombia.

Overview

  • Telefónica inaugurated the center in Granada on September 8, with CEO Emilio Gayo and Andalusian president Juan Manuel Moreno attending.
  • The site is on the third floor of the company’s Avenida Andrés Segovia building and opened with more than 100 specialists in areas including cybersecurity, IoT, AI and Big Data.
  • Telefónica says the center already supports security for over 2,500 companies across Spain and handles around 70 million daily cyber threats and potentially malicious activities.
  • Operations run 24/7, reinforced by about thirty experts from Telefónica’s Digital Operations Center in Colombia to provide global service.
  • Telefónica plans to recruit and train graduates with Andalusian universities, particularly the University of Granada, and positions the site as a Microsoft-focused hub to bolster Granada’s digital innovation role.
