- At the APAC Biodesign Innovation Summit in Hyderabad on August 24, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy unveiled the vision document titled Innovations for Bharat: The BioDesign Blueprint.
- Reddy announced that innovators and researchers will receive conditional access to Telangana’s historical medical data under strict data privacy safeguards.
- The state said it will be a proactive partner by linking teams to academic institutions, research bodies, the Young India Skills University and corporations to accelerate product development.
- Telangana highlighted the Sultanpur Medical Devices Park as a core asset, with more than 60 global and domestic companies operating and infrastructure for research, prototyping, testing and manufacturing.
- International presenters underscored the push to scale domestic med-tech, noting India’s large health-tech startup base yet high import dependence for medical devices.
