Telangana Unveils 2025 Sports Policy Centered on State Hub and Global Collaboration

It establishes a new TSDF-governed sports hub to steer facility expansion across Telangana.

  • Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy formally launched the policy at Hyderabad’s inaugural sports conclave with Olympians Gagan Narang, Pullela Gopichand and Abhinav Bindra in attendance.
  • The Telangana Sports Development Fund-run hub will centralize governance, funding and strategic oversight for all state sports initiatives.
  • The policy commits to building mini-stadiums in all 119 Assembly constituencies alongside academies, sports science centres and a Young India Sports Academy.
  • A Young India Physical Education and Sports University will be established in Hyderabad with technical and academic support from Korea’s National Sports University.
  • MoUs with FIFA and the Olympic Values Education Programme are set to be signed as part of global partnerships aimed at nurturing rural talent and developing world-class athletes.
