  • The three-member committee is chaired by Special Chief Secretary Sabyasachi Ghosh with members Shailaja Ramaiyar and Raghunandan Rao tasked with conducting in-depth studies.
  • Plans call for building modern cow shelters at Vemulawada, Yadagirigutta, Yenkepally near Hyderabad and the Animal Husbandry University.
  • Officials were instructed to allocate over 100 acres at Vemulawada and ensure special care for calves donated by devotees during rituals.
  • The state government has pledged substantial funding to upgrade facilities, address overcrowding and improve welfare standards across goshalas.
