Overview
- The state issued GO Rt No. 564 on September 18, 2026 to form a high-level committee chaired by Chief Commissioner of Land Administration D. S. Lokesh Kumar with Law Secretary Papi Reddy and IG Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu as members.
- The committee has been asked to resolve 12 identified Section 22A issues within one month and to take fast decisions on applications submitted by affected owners.
- Under GO 118 the government has begun a fast-track regularisation for about 9,700 plots in the LB Nagar constituency, with processing due to start on September 19, 2026 and disposal targeted within a month subject to any court orders.
- Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka will lead consultations with MLAs to address stalled house-site registrations in the Singareni coal-belt under the existing GO 76 framework.
- Decisions will depend on legal vetting and ongoing high-court cases, and if the panel clears applications it could restore the ability of thousands of owners to register, sell, or mortgage properties that were placed on the prohibited list by mapping or administrative errors.
