Overview
- MPTC and ZPTC voting will be held in two phases on October 23 and October 27, with counting on November 11.
- Gram Panchayat polling will take place in three phases on October 31, November 4 and November 8, with results declared the same day.
- The exercise spans 31 districts covering 565 ZPTCs, 5,749 MPTCs, 12,733 gram panchayats and 1,12,288 wards for a rural electorate of 1,67,03,168.
- The Model Code of Conduct is now in force, with election notices beginning October 9 and staggered nomination windows ahead of each phase.
- Polling will use ballot boxes and papers borrowed from Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, while 14 MPTCs, 27 gram panchayats and 246 wards are withheld due to court stays.
