- Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced that all five 800 MW units will be commissioned and the project dedicated by January 15.

- The government issued 500 appointment letters to families that gave up land for the project and provided compassionate jobs to the kin of 159 power corporation employees.
- Supporting works include a coal railway link, staff townships, CSR-backed education and healthcare in nearby villages, ambulances for each mandal, and upgraded roads and flyovers, as ministers also highlighted ₹17,000 crore in funding for free power to farmers and households.
