Telangana Rains: Official Tally Puts Crop Damage at 2.2 Lakh Acres

Preliminary tallies are now guiding early relief across affected districts.

  • Preliminary reports cite damage to 42 roads under Panchayat Raj and Roads & Buildings, seven houses, about 60 electric poles with conductors, submerged transformers, and power cut to eight villages.
  • The Agriculture Minister said 21,325 tonnes of urea will reach key depots within days with another 29,700 tonnes due in early September, as detailed enumeration continues and calls for cash compensation are raised.
