Overview
- Preliminary government reports say 2.53 lakh farmers suffered damage across 4.48 lakh acres in 179 mandals, with Warangal worst hit at over 1.3 lakh acres.
- Paddy accounts for the largest losses at over 2.82 lakh acres, followed by cotton at nearly 1.52 lakh acres, with smaller hits to maize, chilli, pulses, groundnut and horticulture crops.
- Ministers said the state will provide ₹10,000 per acre as ex gratia for crop loss, procure rain-soaked paddy and arrange a Chief Ministerial aerial survey of affected areas.
