Telangana Prepares for Month-Long Operation Muskaan-XI to Combat Child Trafficking

  • Operation Muskaan-XI enters its 11th phase from July 1 to 31 with a focus on tracing, rescuing, and rehabilitating missing and trafficked children across Telangana.
  • A force of 706 officers in 121 Sub-Divisional Police Teams has been mobilised under the Women Safety Wing’s supervision to carry out search and rescue operations.
  • Key government departments, including Women and Child Welfare, Labour, Health, and District Child Protection Units, will collaborate with NGOs such as UNICEF and International Justice Mission.
  • The Telangana State Child Protection and Welfare Portal will serve as a centralised platform for real-time data management and progress reporting on rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
  • Preparatory discussions emphasised tackling child labour, bonded labour, and begging while tightening legal frameworks and refining rescue and rehabilitation protocols.
