Overview
- The Registration & Stamps Department uploaded the Section 22A prohibitory list on Tuesday, August 25, after it vanished from the Bhu Bharati portal, but Waqf and Endowment entries are still marked "prohibition data is under review."
- The public site lists agricultural and non-agricultural blocks by district, mandal and village but offers no name or khata search, forcing owners to discover restrictions only when they try to register at sub-registrar offices.
- A government toll-free grievance line recorded about 1,200 calls, including roughly 547 complaints on agricultural land and 433 on non-agricultural land, with many calls coming from Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts.
- Officials have instructed owners to approach district collectors for some categories, the Waqf CEO or Endowments Commissioner for religious/endowment cases, and a CCLA committee for other matters, and the revenue minister said cases tied to Bhoodan, Waqf and Endowments will take time because many are in court.
