Overview

• The State Election Commission will issue the first notification on Thursday, with nominations to start at 10:30 a.m. for the opening phase.
• ZPTC and MPTC voting will be held in two phases on October 23 and 27, and Gram Panchayat polls will follow on October 30, November 4, and November 8.
• Counting for ZPTC and MPTC elections is scheduled for November 11, with results to be declared the same day.
• The exercise spans 31 districts and covers 565 ZPTCs, 5,749 MPTCs, 12,733 sarpanches, and about 1.12 lakh ward members.
• Election officials held statewide reviews and directed district authorities to begin accepting nominations as legal petitions on the reservation policy continue in the High Court.
