Telangana Launches Doorstep MeeSeva Service

The pilot is meant to reduce queues by delivering key government certificates and services to citizens at home.

Overview

  • The state formally launched the MeeSeva Door Delivery pilot on Wednesday, offering home visits by trained MeeSeva agents in selected CURE urban areas.
  • Citizens can book a visit by calling the toll‑free number 1100 or by using the MeeSeva portal, receive a confirmation message, and have a representative visit to process requests and deliver documents.
  • The doorstep team will handle birth and death certificates, corrections, caste, income, residence and nativity certificates, copies of encumbrance certificates and select police and IGRS services.
  • More than 70 MeeSeva agents and village‑level entrepreneurs have been trained for the rollout, which officials say will be evaluated in the pilot before being extended statewide.
  • Officials also said they will soon take steps to restore issuance of pahanis (land records), a move tied to broader technology reforms meant to improve transparency and public access to records.
