BRS leader T. Harish Rao alleges the Bhu Bharati rollout has bred corruption, irregularities and extortion that are hurting farmers.

Farmers’ Commission chairman Kodanda Reddy rejects the allegations, arguing the issues originated under the BRS-era Dharani system and alleging farmer data was handed to a US-based firm.
Reddy says the government’s response includes the Bhu Bharati Act, Sadabainama regularisation, shifting portal control to NIC, appointing village-level officers and licensed surveyors, and examining roughly 18 lakh pending applications, with guidance provided to over 3,000 farmers.
