Overview
- The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board issued four short notifications on Wednesday, July 29, to open direct recruitment for 7,437 vacancies across the Police, Special Protection Force, Fire and Disaster Response, and Prisons departments.
- Roughly 5,000 of the posts are in the Police Department and include 148 Sub‑Inspectors, about 4,770 constable-level roles and technical posts such as ASI (Fingerprint Bureau), driver and mechanic positions.
- The notifications set out multi-stage selection procedures including a Preliminary Written Test, Physical Efficiency and Measurement tests, final written exams and separate driving or trade tests for driver and mechanic posts.
- Candidates have been told to get a medical examination from a Civil Surgeon and to keep caste, EWS, non‑creamy layer and locality/bonafide certificates ready for upload, with some certificates required to be dated on or after April 1, 2026.
- The notices list pay ranges for key grades — Sub‑Inspector pay up to Rs 1,15,270 per month and Station Fire Officer and Deputy Jailer up to Rs 1,12,510 — and the board warned that the application window and full schedule will be announced on the official portal tgprb.in.
