Overview

• The minister laid the foundation for a new 500-bed Sangareddy District Government Hospital to be built for ₹273.4 crore.
• Day Care Cancer Centres opened across 34 Government General Hospitals will provide screening, diagnosis, chemotherapy and palliative care.
• The state announced 34 mobile screening vehicles with a plan for household-level screening in rural areas to counter late detection.
• Radiation-ready day care centres with bunkers are slated to launch in Warangal, Sangareddy, Khammam and Mahabubnagar in the coming months.
