Telangana High Court Reserves Judgment on KT Rama Rao's Formula E Case Petition

The court extended interim protection against arrest for the BRS leader while allowing the investigation into alleged corruption to proceed.

KT Rama Rao, a senior leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), faces allegations of financial irregularities amounting to ₹55 crore related to the Hyderabad Formula E race.
The Telangana High Court has reserved its judgment on Rao's petition to quash the FIR filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
The court has extended its interim order preventing Rao's arrest until a final decision on the petition is made.
The ACB alleges that payments to the Formula E Organisation were made without required approvals, violating regulations and causing losses to the state exchequer.
Rao is also scheduled to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on January 7 in connection with a related money laundering investigation.
