Telangana Government Taps Six NGOs to Launch AI and Digital Learning in Schools

The project will deliver free AI-driven lessons, competitive exam preparation, coding modules, child protection programmes statewide.

Overview

  • The Telangana School Education Department signed MoUs with EkStep Foundation, Prajwala Foundation, Physics Wala, Khan Academy, Pi Jam Foundation and Educate Girls on June 15 to enhance government school education.
  • EkStep Foundation will expand its AI-powered learning platform from 540 to more than 5,000 primary schools across all 33 districts.
  • Physics Wala will offer free coaching for competitive exams such as NEET, JEE and CLAT to intermediate-level students, while Khan Academy will deliver curriculum-aligned video-based STEM lessons for Classes 6 to 10 and Pi Jam Foundation will teach coding and computational thinking to pupils from Class 1 to 10.
  • Prajwala Foundation is set to launch comprehensive child safety and protection programmes for students in Classes 6 to 12 and Educate Girls will continue enrolling out-of-school children, having already reached over 16,000 youngsters.
  • Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the partnerships lay the foundation for a knowledge-based future and reaffirm the government’s commitment to ensuring no child is left behind in the digital era.
