Overview

• The Excise Enforcement team raided the Shamshabad area on Sunday, confiscating 360 bottles of foreign liquor valued at ₹14.50 lakh.
• Officials said the stock was sourced from Goa, Haryana and Lucknow, with operations led by the Shamshabad Excise Superintendent and supported by DTF and local police personnel.
• The Sunday action was conducted under the supervision of Excise Enforcement Director Shanwas Qasim, Deputy Commissioner Dasharath and Excise Superintendent Krishnapriya.
• The latest seizure follows coordinated September 19 operations across Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Kamareddy that recovered 301 bottles worth ₹15.85 lakh.
• Earlier checks included 73 bottles taken off Delhi‑arriving trains, 51 bottles of army canteen liquor traced to Karnataka, and four arrests linked to those cases, with investigations continuing.
