Overview
- Telangana’s DGP C. V. Anand held a statewide video review and directed all police units to strengthen technology use for cybercrime detection and investigation.
- The review covered rollout of national systems such as e-Zero FIR and the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) and ordered faster, fuller implementation.
- State performance on the nine I4C KPIs was published during the review showing mixed results, including 13th in e-Zero FIR, 18th in money restoration with a 46.6% recovery rate, and fourth on the Grievance Redressal Mechanism.
- Senior cyber officials including Telangana Cyber Security Bureau Director Shikha Goel, T-SPARK SP Rupesh and SP (Cyber Security) Sai Sri were tasked with improving rankings, expanding capacity building and boosting public awareness.
- I4C’s nine-KPI framework and the Prime Minister’s PRAGATI platform now monitor these metrics, so better tech use and faster victim money restoration could quickly change Telangana’s national standing and affect how victims recover funds.
