Overview
- The Shamshabad centre opened under the Cyberabad Commissionerate and will serve 17 police station limits across the Rajendranagar and Shamshabad zones.
- An eight-member core team of trained women staff will run the facility under the supervision of a sub-inspector and an assistant sub-inspector.
- Victims will receive legal assistance, medical care, psychological counselling, and help accessing government compensation, including in cases under the POCSO Act.
- Launched in 2016, the Bharosa network now includes 33 centres across 24 districts and six commissionerates, overseen by the Women Safety Wing with state support.
- The Shamshabad building was sponsored by the Bangarutalli Foundation of the BBG Group and executed by P. V.N. Infra, making it the third Bharosa site in Cyberabad.
