Telangana Cybersecurity Bureau Partners With NALSAR to Bolster Cybercrime Defenses

The agreement establishes a multidisciplinary framework for legal education alongside technical capacity building in cybercrime enforcement.

Overview

  • Shikha Goel of TGCSB and NALSAR Vice-Chancellor Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao signed the MoU on June 18 in Hyderabad with DGP Dr Jitender in attendance.
  • The partnership will jointly review existing cyber laws, including the IT Act, 2000, to identify legal gaps and propose updates on enforcement, data privacy, financial fraud and digital evidence.
  • Specialized training programs will be developed for law enforcement and judicial officers to strengthen investigative and prosecutorial skills in online crime cases.
  • TGCSB will establish an in-house legal and forensic advisory unit to support investigations into financial fraud, child sexual abuse material, misinformation and other cyber offenses.
  • The initiative aims to merge legal scholarship, policy research and digital forensics to create a comprehensive model for tackling evolving cyber threats.
