Telangana Cold Spell Deepens With 11 Districts at 10°C or Lower, Tiryani at 6.1°C. IMD

IMD expects below-normal night temperatures with mist or haze through early January without a cold-wave alert for Hyderabad.

  • Other notable lows included 6.3°C in Kohir, 7.5°C in Bheempoor, 8.2°C in Moinabad, and several pockets in the 8–10°C range.
  • The remaining districts largely recorded 10–13°C, with Hyderabad’s Tirumalagiri at 10.7°C and Uppal at 9.8°C.
  • Hyderabad localities logged multiple single-digit or near-single-digit readings, including University of Hyderabad at 9.3°C and Moulali at 9.8°C. IMD and IMD-Hyderabad forecast minimums 2–4°C below normal in isolated pockets and 11–15°C through Jan 2, with no formal cold-wave alert issued.
