Overview
- A gravel-laden tipper struck a TSRTC bus near Mirjaguda around daybreak, with both drivers among the 19 dead and 22 passengers injured.
 - The impact poured tonnes of gravel into the bus, burying occupants as locals and off-duty police used earthmovers to extract survivors after prolonged, difficult rescues.
 - Preliminary inquiries cite overspeeding by the heavily loaded tipper and poor road geometry, while officials noted the bus had valid fitness and no fault was found with its condition or driver.
 - The bus carried roughly 70–72 passengers against about 50 seats, and several commuters boarded after missing early morning trains from Tandur to Hyderabad.
 - Telangana announced Rs 5 lakh for each deceased and Rs 2 lakh for the injured, and the Prime Minister announced Rs 2 lakh for next of kin and Rs 50,000 for the injured as a formal probe proceeds.
