  • The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested four government officials in coordinated operations across Secunderabad, Kamareddy, and Medak on May 23, 2025.
  • B. Vittal Rao, a GHMC Assistant City Planner, was arrested for demanding an Rs. 8 lakh bribe to process occupancy certificates, having already accepted Rs. 4 lakh.
  • Assistant Public Prosecutor Guguloth Ashok Shiva Ram Naik and constable Nimma Sanjay were caught accepting Rs. 10,000 to expedite a trial and secure acquittal in a cheating case.
  • Vittal Reddy, in charge of the Mandal Panchayat Office in Shankarampet, accepted Rs. 15,000 to issue a cheque for a Rs. 1.95 lakh rural development grant.
  • Seized bribe amounts were presented before the special ACB court, which remanded all four officials to judicial custody.
