Telangana ACB Traps Khammam Trio, Books Wanaparthy Officials in Bribery Cases

The moves follow citizen complaints over bribe demands tied to land records.

  • On September 17 in Thallada mandal, Khammam, ACB officials caught Tahsildar Vankayala Suresh Kumar, Revenue Inspector Maloth Bhaskar Rao and Dharani operator Shivaji Rathod while taking a Rs 10,000 bribe to process land registration.
  • Investigators said Rathod accepted the cash on behalf of the other two accused and recovered the tainted money from his possession.
  • Khammam ACB DSP Y Ramesh said the arrests followed a farmer’s complaint and that the three will be produced before the special judge for SPE and ACB cases in Warangal.
  • On September 18, the ACB booked Revenue Inspector C. Vasu and Mandal Surveyor G. Naveen Reddy in Kothakota, Wanaparthy, for allegedly demanding Rs 40,000 to conduct an enquiry and submit a panchanama for an Occupancy Right Certificate.
  • The bureau said the Wanaparthy officers are being arrested and will be produced before the Additional Special Judge for ACB cases in Nampally.
