Overview

• The Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested the Engineer-in-Chief of the Panchayat Raj Engineering department in Hyderabad after he demanded and accepted a Rs 50,000 bribe to secure a transfer, and officers recovered the seized cash.
• Investigators have conducted searches at the officer’s residence as part of an ongoing probe into his activities.
