Teenagers Charged in Murder of Homeless Man Near King’s Cross

A 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy face charges over the August death of Anthony Marks, 51, as police continue their search for witnesses and his next of kin.

• Anthony Marks, a 51-year-old homeless man, was fatally assaulted on Cromer Street near King’s Cross in the early hours of August 10.
• A 17-year-old boy was charged with murder last month and remains in custody awaiting trial next year.
• On Friday, a 16-year-old girl from Brixton was also charged with Mr. Marks’ murder and is set to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court.
• Due to their ages, neither of the teenage suspects can be publicly identified.
• Police are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time of the incident and are still working to locate Mr. Marks’ next of kin.
