Teenager Mirra Andreeva Defeats Iga Swiatek to Reach Indian Wells Final

The 17-year-old Russian ended Swiatek's bid for a third title, becoming the youngest finalist at Indian Wells since 2001.

Mirra Andreeva, 17, defeated defending champion Iga Swiatek 7-6(1), 1-6, 6-3 in the Indian Wells semifinals.
Andreeva ended Swiatek's 10-match winning streak at the tournament and her pursuit of a record third title in the California desert.
The victory makes Andreeva the youngest Indian Wells finalist since Kim Clijsters in 2001.
Andreeva, who won her first WTA 1000 title in Dubai last month, extended her current winning streak to 11 matches.
She will face either Aryna Sabalenka or Madison Keys in the final on Sunday, as the two compete in the other semifinal.
