Teenager Arrested in Rennes for Shooting Passersby with Pellet Gun

A 15-year-old used an air rifle to fire at pedestrians and police from his apartment, causing minor injuries to several individuals.

The incident occurred in the Saint-Hélier district of Rennes, near the train station, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Four people were struck by pellets, while two others and three police officers were targeted but not hit.
The injuries sustained by the victims were reported to be superficial, according to the prosecutor of Rennes.
The 15-year-old suspect, previously unknown to law enforcement, was apprehended after being located using drones.
Train services in the area were temporarily disrupted as a precaution during the police operation.
