Teenager Accused in New Year's Eve Stabbing of Harry Pitman

  • The accused, a 16-year-old boy who cannot be named due to his age, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
  • Despite police officers being nearby, no one was apprehended at the scene. Harry was pronounced dead 20 minutes before midnight.
  • A 17-year-old boy was also arrested in connection with the incident but has been released on bail. Three other boys initially arrested will face no further action.
  • The accused, who wept in court, could face a life sentence if convicted. A plea and trial preparation hearing is set for March 26, with a provisional trial date of September 2.
