Teenage Waffle House Employee Fatally Shot by Agitated Customer in North Carolina

The suspect, identified as Florwer Carlin Lizano, remains at large after allegedly killing 18-year-old Burlie Dawson Locklear.

Laurinburg police responded to a shots fired call at a Waffle House early Friday morning, finding 18-year-old employee Burlie Dawson Locklear with a gunshot wound.
Locklear, who had recently graduated from high school, was taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital where he later died.
The suspect, Florwer Carlin Lizano, allegedly became verbally abusive towards staff before shooting Locklear and fleeing the scene in a dark grey 2014 Chevrolet.
Lizano is described as a Black male with light skin, long dreads, and facial hair, last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes.
Waffle House expressed deep sympathy for Locklear's family and friends, offering counseling services to employees and collaborating with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation.
