Overview
- The attack occurred about 4:20 p.m. near Nielsen Park in Vaucluse, where the boy, reported to be 12–13, was jumping from rocks outside the netted area.
- Marine Area Command and Eastern Suburbs Police reached him within minutes, applied two tourniquets, and provided first aid on a police vessel before transfer to Rose Bay.
