Overview
- At about 11:33 p.m. on August 5, an 18-year-old motorcyclist lost control on northbound Bartlett Road, struck a utility pole, and collided with a marked police squad car at Old Bartlett Road.
- The rider was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition and remains under close medical care.
- The Barrington Hills officer inside the squad car was treated at a nearby hospital and released later that night.
