Overview

• Gustavo Henrique dos Santos Pereira, 19, was fatally shot during an attempted robbery on Rodovia Oswaldo Ortiz Monteiro in Canas while walking to the Santuário Nacional.

• A companion told police that Pereira resisted the robbery, engaged in a struggle, and was shot, and the assailants fled with the companion’s cellphone.
