Overview

• Nine teenagers were injured in a shooting at an unauthorized party in a Columbia, South Carolina park.
• The victims ranged from 16 to 20 years old and were at a party that began around 1:20 a.m. on a Saturday.
• Deputies found shell casings from multiple guns scattered around the park and later arrested two suspects in possession of marijuana and an unlawful pistol.
• The party involved students from several area high schools though the event was not sponsored by the park.
• In total 11 people were hurt, including some with injuries unrelated to the gunfire.
