Teen Killed After Falling from Truck Doing Donuts in San Jose

The driver, suspected of DUI, has been arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter.

Paulina Verduzco Mendoza, 18, fell from a pickup truck doing donuts in a San Jose parking lot and was subsequently hit by the vehicle.
The incident occurred just before midnight on Friday, September 13, near Camden Avenue.
San Jose Police Department reported that alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
This marks the 37th traffic death in San Jose this year; police are investigating and seeking information from the public.
