Teen in Stolen Car Arrested After 100 MPH I-4 Pursuit in Orlando, FHP Says

The pursuit began just after midnight near Lake Mary when troopers spotted a stolen vehicle that had fled Volusia County deputies, according to FHP. Troopers say the 16-year-old reached about 100 mph on I-4, weaved through lanes, nearly hit a concrete wall, and briefly entered oncoming traffic. An initial PIT maneuver on I-4 failed to stop the car, but a second PIT off the highway brought the vehicle to a halt. The car crashed into a building, and the driver was taken into custody on West Michigan Street in Orlando after a brief foot chase. FHP reports charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding with disregard for safety, and a public-order offense for wearing a mask, with no details released on injuries or additional counts.
